Not really, i fee that it is double dipping or splitting hairs.... the trap realies on seal, so to say is 90% propable, you are implying a 90% chance of a trap. If you say that the chance of a trap is 50%, you are implying a 50% chance of a seal !
I would interpret the information more literally... If the Aptian is present then the seal is 100% and the 90% figure implies some knowledge as to why not 100%. I would go for the trap as 50% at this stage rather than combined proability 45%, which assumes more knowledge than we have at present.
