Operations run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. During Cyclone/ hurricane/typhoon season, rigs will be constantly monitoring developing weather systems (days out) and if needed - secure the well - pull the bop or lmrp and if on anchors personnel will possibly be evacuated, if on dp (dynamic positioning - thrusters) the vessel will move to safer waters until the weather has passed. The rig will then return to its location. Run it's BOP (dependant on the operation) pull storm packers and return to operation.
