The whole basin is poised at the moment, just waiting for that first FID - which when (or if) it happens, the industry will all breath a sigh of relief and others will follow suit. Committing to actually producing is massive - they need to be sure (Total is clearly teetering on the edge of that decision; GALP apparently looking towards a supermajor farm-in by end of 2025, and probably my favourite is the Bw Energy with the Kudu gas 'development proposal' by the end of Q2FY2025 - it's all about starting to put the infrastructure in place, which will de-risk everything). The speed of the O&G sector is glacial, until it isn't.
