Got to include the recoverability factor (unless you’ve already done so). I’m finding some of these ai tools can really assist here by plugging various industry standard metrics into the known STOOIP volumetric equation (Id recommend any geos or data scientists here integrate ai into your workflows .. it’s amazing stuff. I’ll share some thoughts of numbers crunched a little later over wknd. All of the figures justify a drill (imo), but based on recoverability, porosity, saturation, metrics returns a wide variation.
J-lead discussed a few days ago as an example, using known data (thanks OG!), and integrating industry variance in known light oil discoveries globally for various STOOIP inputs; for recoverable resource I got a bear case of 699mmbls, mean case of 1.57bbls, and bull case of 2.35bbls. (J-lead only). I expect the recent two leads mentioned in quarterly are significantly larger, and the stacking is interesting. Very exciting times!!!
