Obvious answer, they were hitting hydrocarbons on the drills. Just not enough.
For all we know Galp are hitting hydrocarbons every drill to but not enough. Throw 6 darts at the dartboard and you'll likely hit it 6 times, especially if you are experienced. You won't necessarily hit the bullseye though.
