Wise words DrSwing, From my experience of JV farmouts and I have participated in many, there will be no PCL 'data room' until after Woodside decline the drill option at the latest in May 2025. I am of the view, fwiw, that Woodside will exercise the drill option and may bring in a partner to share the farmin costs of 3D and drilling the first/two wells.
As for this talk of a PCL 'data room' before the Woodside farmin option expires, what are PCL going to show?- their 2D seismic data again that has already been shown to all and sundry while they were farming out pre- Woodside arriving on the scene?
And I am sure Woodside would not say 'sure PCL, show our 3D seismic data that cost us US$35 million, to all and sundry before we exercise our current valid and legal farmin drill option. Be our guest!'. In the famous words of the Castle, in this hypothetical but unrealistic situation, Woodside would say 'tell them they are dreaming!'
So let us hear no more talk of a PCL 'data room'.
Just let us all be patient and await the Woodside decision.
