    Just following up on your thoughts from your 19/02/2025 post.

    "Unsure how trap correlates with our 2 leads but looks to be inside the Saturn system. Also noting the Oryx lead in birdseye image above doesn't appear to take water depth into account.
    • In my opinion, our two leads Oryx and Hyrax indeed occur within the Saturn complex - see below. We appear to have four (4) episodes of Albian-aged turbidite deposition which produced four (4) stacked lobes separated from one-another by shale/mudstone and hopefully comprising good quality reservoir sandstone. The images may help posters to better understand how these stratigraphic traps work. Basically, each turbidite lobe invokes sandstone pinch-out in all directions going from sand-rich sediments near the centre of the turbidite lobes to shale/mudstone-rich sediments near the edges.
    • Unsure about what you mean about "water depth not taken int account".

    The diagram below attempts to show how the Oryx and Hyrax turbidite leads were deposited. The Outer High on the left sets up the counter-regional dip to the east creating a sub-basin for ponding of sediment sourced from the shelf.

    Wondering if your theory does however prove correct, would that confirm the presence of hydrocarbons in below trap none the less, whilst thief channels transport surplus into isolated trap, also within Pel87".
    How the plumbing would link each separate sand lobe (potentially hydrocarbon-bearing) is a difficult one given each lobe of sand-rich sediment, appears to be isolated by shale/mud-rich sediment.
