I haven't studied geological science ..... so I claim to know bugger all but ...... there is always a but ...... Sagittarius didn't find an oil - water contact ..... Mopane as far as I remember also didn't strike a water level ..... I cannot remember whether Venus struck water or not ....... now that is IMHO different from, dare I say, most if not all other traditional Oil/Gas wells ..... the question is why ....... could it be that the sand deposits which are forming the reservoirs in this section are from dry desert wind accumulations and not from water/river deposition. The analysis of our 3D seismic that OG and others have studied talk about winnowing by water/river and that may well be the case for Saturn ...... but could it be wind sifting as it does in the deserts and then covered with sealing material again by wind before being covered by oceans. Just for discussion
