Hi coeus12345, Thanks for sharing this; 90m of gross column thickness is useful information. It would be nice to know net thickness. My interpretation of the shaded green zones made by @Laurentian on the maps in your post is different (Panel A below) In my view, the shaded green zones annotated as AVO-10 (Sag-1X) and AVO-13 (Mopane-3X), are in the shallower Tertiary section well above the Upper Cretaceous that Sagittarius-1X targeted.
I also thought that Mopane-3X was targeting Cretaceous sediments and not Tertiary sediments, but I cannot confirm this. If the Sagitarrius-1X and Mopane-3X wells targeted what @Laurentian has labelled in panel A, and the correlation that @Laurentian has made in green between SAG-1X and 3X is correct and both encountered oil in the Tertiary, this would be a very significant new play type for the Orange Basin as no discoveries have been made yet in the Tertiary. Happy to be corrected on this though.
Can @Laurentian provide any further insight into how they arrived at their interpretation and correlation? New information provided?
