Cant remember if WDS penned the option agreement with PCL before or after Venus, but everyone else started drilling right after that. idk how much choice PCL had in terms of potential farminees at the time, but WDS made sure they held all the cards and could call the shots and the timelines, without taking on any permit liability...in return for their 35M seismic funding.

In terms of the timelines, each additional well that goes in not only keeps on derisking it for WDS, but also enhances the terms of any farmout deal they can attract. They're milking it for all they can.
