okay i’m going to be patronizing : buying “way more than i can afford”, really ??
do what works for you but in difficult times it matters to stick to rigid principles because sometimes we don’t think straight when we lose (or make) too much in a couple of days.
Number one principle for me : never stake more than a predefined % of my total assets. The key is to find your own % so that you’re not destitute if you lose it all but it’s still painful enough that you pay attention… different story if you’re super young and it’s only a matter of time to earn it all back through earnings.
