I'm not trying to shut you or anyone with a negative view down, but I think its important for those browsing through these forums to seperate the facts from misinformation.

I thought the absolute bare minimum for investors to do in order to understand a stock, is to read the company announcements, but looks like I was wrong.

Iain (not Ian or Lain) Smith wasnt even at PCL when the Woodside deal was announced, so not sure how he could have fumbled his way through that process - but they have already announced that they were prepared for this scenario & that the company has already received third party interest. I'm sure two announcements being released in one day must be hard to keep up with, but they are worth reading if you're invested in the company.

It was pretty clear even before Jibby mentioned the top 20 shareholders adding to their positions, that it was retail investors panic selling upon seeing Woodside pull out but as mentioned by the Euroz analyst (whose report was also posted by Jibby I believe), it's "important to understand the nuances of the decision" - that's another post worth your time reading.

Tell me again, who's burying their head in the sand and not listening to balanced opinions?
