Fair question, and would not surprise me if something like this happens in the future. It would be interesting to peer behind the curtain and see some of these inquiries Pancon are getting now - I'm sure some are along the lines you're thinking. Keep in mind, management typically must do what's in the best interest of holders (particularly major holders who have sway), so if Pancon believes they have something special in their seismic; they need to play their cards right to create value. Anyway, my two cents.
