Wrapping up the last two weeks (since wds announcement) in terms of volume changing hands:

Week 1:
Mon: Halt
Tues (18March): 218m units (approx). - close of 0.009
Wed: 50m units (approx). - close of 0.008
Thurs: 50m units (approx) - close of 0.009
Friday: 12m units (approx) - close of 0.008

Week 2:
Monday (24March): 39m (approx) - close of 0.008
Tuesday: 47m units (approx) - close of 0.008.
Wednesday: 72m units (approx) - close of 0.007.
Thurs: 54m units (approx) - close of 0.008. (possible capitulation)
Fri: 13m units (approx) - close of 0.009.

In the last two weeks of trading, a grand total is 555m units have changed hands (so far), out of a possible circa 8B units on issue - a total of $4.609m AUD, approx 6.94% of all units changed hands (ie 3.5% sold, 3.5% bought). As you can see from the Thurs and Friday trading, it appears there is some support/buyers entering at this level - which could make sense. To put this in perspective, for 6.94% of all SOI, to cause a 50%+ drop in sp/value is something you don't often see. It's indicative of major holders largely not selling. The top 20 last time I checked controlled circa 42% of all SOI - which is a fairly strong register.

Looking at it holistically, It screams overkill to me, but could also have created some overhang of traders that are now trapped (tax loss selling coming up in a few months also). Keep in mind, none of this matters if a farm-in is secured in a timely fashion & drill timelines put in place; and certainty of a path forward is restored.
