Well spotted on Petrobras and I had seen similar in another trade journal today about their pivot to the Ivory Coast.
Petrobras have the tech knowhow and financial clout for PEL 87 and the Latins are usually attracted by size (Saturn complex) in prospects they chase. They are used to dealing with size!. Their deepwater expertise should lead to reasonable drilling costs and the southern Atlantic is very much their turf. I believe that a former Petrobras geo was a principal at the company that drilled Moosehead-1 in PEL87.
Fingers crossed that Petrobras are a serious contender.
