Woodside prudently erred on the side of caution, going for a developed field with less risk and possibly earnings accretive for shareholders far sooner. They are in a different position to the majors who have much deeper pockets. I believe they couldn't do both at the same time. I wouldn't read too much into their departure for that reason and that reason only.....
