Thanks for the geo posts today people, much appreciated. The quality of individuals' contributions here is outstanding and educates us not just for our PCL investment, but for life. In another life, I'd choose the geo path rather than my earlier career, but I digress.
The complexity of the Orange Basin geo is clear and even the super majors are struggling to get their heads around it. The results from both Mopane-3X and Capricornus were unexpected, despite the extensive data analysed prior.
There was frustration with the WDS delay and eventual exit, but I feel that it has absolutely worked in our favour (i.e. negotiations now for a chunk of our 75% must take into consideration Mopane-3X, Capricornus and majors (e.g. Petrobras) missing out on PEL 83).
Reasonable to assume that Saturn geo will be complex and backs up the rationale behind the inversion study. Am not sure whether Galp or Rhino completed such a study?
In any event, the study will be ann when ready and the farm-in will follow, I am certain of that. Have a good weekend all and thanks again for the great posts.
