Im referring to both posts.

1. Moosehead 1 did have shows. H/C shows increasing in wetness with depth. Means gas rich at the top and condensate rich toward the base of the intersection. The only thing missing in Moosehead 1 was porosity/permeability (they were looking for Por/Perm in the carbnate). Porosity and Permeability gives you storage and flow potential.

2. If you look at the PCL section showing Moosehead...it is located on a "high". The Saturn complex (main reservoir play as we now know) is less developed at Moosehead. But it thickens to the north. This means that HCs "overflowing" any reservoir in the Saturn complex, would be likely to migrate laterally and upwards into whatever permeability is available - assuming the top seal is doing its job and keeping a lid on it. In that scenario, even poorly developed carbonate permeability such as that seen in Moosehead will offer a home to migrating H/C's. Esp with the pressures likely to be present at those depths.

3. My conclusion. The H/C shows in Moosehead are indicators of "leaking" H/C accumulations, from somewhere "lower" in the structure/stratigraphy. It is not a matter of looking for oil any more. It is there. It is a matter of looking for reservoir. Porosity and permeability. Permeability lower down in the sequence would be preferable at this stage, as it appears that will get you into the wetter sections.
