In essence, nothing has changed during that time except for expanding the operation albeit in the same jurisdiction. The location dynamics obviously has changed, but has it really? Its always doing what it does, volatile at best. The overlords might be moving from West to East but everyone knows what the product is worth, which generally speaking is extremely bullish in the face of global Govt absurdity. WAF keep mining it, selling it, and making bucket loads of cash. To go from Explore to Mid Tier producer in ~5 years is mind-blowing.
Richard doesn't need to gloat, the company will do what it does, as it has done until there will be too much excess cash to deny its value, no matter what the discount. At that point, take on a third mine and rinse repeat? maybe mix up the jurisdiction, or pay a divvy.
The whole sector has been smashed, the gold equities to POG ratio is skewed massively and is set for a massive rerate. WAF does need to capture that though.
