Having been to both Africa and university, all I would say is that it is not what one knows but who one knows that provides future opportunity. It is clear to me that those countless people allegedly schooled magnificantly in Russia, have achieved very little and have been used by unsavory groups such as Wagners to get a foothold into Africa.
Next thing you'll tell me is that the Chinese moving into Africa is due to a deep devotion to the African people.
