Just remember that Disney has bought out Fox and now owns the electricity, the power poles and the electricity generation stations following your analogy.
Disney is canceling content contracts as we speak so is cutting electricity to competitors such as TV2U and our operator clients where that suits Disney. Other agreements will not be renewed when they lapse.
The Disney/Fox merger gives Disney the Hulu and other OTT streaming services with their existing customer bases as well as deep data analytics, and an advertising programmatic service platform, and with the Fox Sports and other content catalogue they are able to do B2B and B2C OTT services as they want to.
This industry consolidation will continue. The OTT market now has a big gorilla in the room who used to just offer content but now will compete head-on with every OTT provider.
