Good post Owly. The points you make are valid but there are concerns here about industry monopolisation that Fox have been accused of in the past of side stepping. The retention of content genres within the two groups is temporary only until Murdoch comes on board Disney board and together they advised markets that they will work out the best alliance footstep in the market.
Industry players say many laws are not written around OTT distribution but more so free to air and cable broadcasting so its a grey area according to some commentators. Murdoch knows how to turn a buck so lets watch this space and see how Hulu orients itself moving forward and what commercial model emerges. If trump is given his own TV channel he will wave it all through congress haha!!
