An interesting find hindmarsh.

Whilst not directly addressing Alexium technologies in the video interview (see link below) there were a few tibits that might be regarded as oblique references, particularly some relating to what Serta see as the main future developments for the company, and there seems to be a 'thermal partner' working in conjunction with HeiQ in the anti-viral developments.

At 23 mins into the video Serta’s Vice President of Advanced Technology, when addressing the longevity of the anti-viral technology, says -

“ … we actually have THERMAL PARTNERS on the accessory front and, in conjunction with HeiQ, testing has been done on washability and durability … “

At around the 31 min mark the interviewers try to put a considerable amount of pressure on the Head of Innovation for Serta to indicate what other substantial developments might be in the pipeline for the company. Whilst successfully reflecting that pressure he does however say (and which is the only technology he mentions) -

“ … we are going to continue to focus on meeting the needs of the consumer and we have obviously a tremendous focus on helping the consumer … sleep comfortably. Obviously HEATING is a big factor, keeping people’s body temperature correct … “

At around the 40 min mark there is an extensive discussion on the increasing emphasis and importance of developments taking place in environmental aspects of the industry (that are of relevance to the low toxicity of Alexium's fire retardants).

A “ key area and focus ” includes “ … OTHER TYPES OF CHEMISTRY …. types of chemistry that have multiple types of benefit that, again, we could ultimately apply to the outermost layer of the mattress … “.

So the important future developments they refer to in the video seem to be consistent with Alexium's technological areas.
