Artaban, a fast-growing bedding producer based here, says it can help U.S. retailers boost their bedding businesses.

The company is aiming to increase its private label business with U.S. bedding retailers and distributors. Its vertically integrated factory here, a sprawling, pristine and sophisticated operation, is ready to meet American retailers’ varying mattress needs, company officials said.With the Chinese mattress producers that currently dominate mattress imports to the United States facing the threat of higher tariffs and substantial anti-dumping duties, Mexico offers major advantages for U.S. producers seeking alternatives to China, Artaban officials said.

Artaban is a perpetual licensee of Top 10 U.S. bedding producer Therapedic, and Rodriguez and his key executives regularly attend the markets in High Point and Las Vegas

“We want to become a real option for U.S. bedding wholesalers and manufacturers in order to increase their business,” Monroy said. “Rolled mattresses and beds in boxes are our main targets for the United States for the next three to five years. We can provide private-label lines with customized specifications and coil and foam cores with special designs.
