A 49-year-old New York City man has been charged with conspiring to manufacture and sell counterfeit clothing and uniforms to the U.S. military.

Federal prosecutors in Rhode Island have charged a New York City man with conspiring to manufacture and sell counterfeit clothing and uniforms to the U.S. military.

Authorities say Kohanbash and others bought sample military uniforms and had phony reproductions made in China. They were then sold to suppliers in the U.S. who sold them to the U.S. government.

Prosecutors say the clothing included phony brand name labels and labels that falsely represented the clothing's abilities.
