LAS VEGAS —Traffic at the summer Las Vegas Market appeared to be flat to down from a year ago, according to many
early accounts from exhibitors here. But there were no complaints about retailer moods and appetite for goods from
those sources that filled their showrooms with new merchandise.
Serta got an enthusiastic reception to the launch of its new iComfort line here, a counter-programming move for an industry
that traditionally launches its major new lines at the January market.
“The reaction has been extremely positive,” said Melanie Huet, chief marketing officer for Serta Simmons Bedding.
“Retailers are overwhelmingly looking to bring in the new iComfort line. The buzz and energy in our showroom has
been tremendous. We have been jumping.”
