TexFRon® 4002 is ICL flame retardent product for Textiles. In 2015 ICL began selling TexFron 4002 a polymeric flame retardent product for Textiles as part of the R&D activities of ICL industrial Products. TexFron 4002 is designed to provide a high level Fire retardent solution for Textiles and Adhesive products. It is an effective substitute for DECA which the companies managemanet has decided to discontinue the production and marketing following a regulation banning its use in Europe in 2019.

Could it be that Alexiums product is BETTER AND CHEAPER Hence the companies in talk at the moment.

In 2014 TexFron 4002 Polymeric was the first bromine based product to be awarded Oekotek approval a European standard for textile products.
We have this certification too.

In 2017 sales from ICL Industrial segment was 1.2B as to what the Fire retardent component of this is for Textile and Adhesives I don't know. But either way its substancial $$$$$$$$$$

TexFRon® 4002 has an optimal melting range enabling better penetration of the finish during the coating process onto the fabric and excellent durability. The FR cannot be extracted from the fabric, even at the boil. It also minimizes the whitening effect often observed with traditional FR systems.

TexFRon® 4002 may be applied by a variety of application techniques including spray, pad, print, coat, foam and brush. It is most suitable for polyester, acrylic blends, nylon, polypropylene blends and cotton/ polyester blend fabrics.
