I (would be) optimistic about the EPF for Aus use if Aus defence and Govt could get their act sorted out - It would be fantastic if the Aus Govt looked to acquire some in Maritime/littoral space. Aus defence likes to buy shiny bits of kit (Canberra Class LHD) but are hopeless at integrating them, mainly due to a lack of experience, as a system within the wider context of Littoral space - EPF is a proven design in service with USN and can be used as a standalone effect, ideal for the Pacific region etc etc IMHO. Would be interesting to see what the Aus defence Naval review ( being conducted by ‘retired’ USN Admiral $$$$$) throws up. Just my 10c.
