There's a shortage of trades, healthcare, childcare, financial, hospitality in the kitchen and front of house and bar the whole nine yards, supermarkets are advertising on their entrance doors... if you're any good you'll get what you want 'cept for building related apprenticeships, they're tough to get. There's farm work, sales and maintenance work in farm machinery. There's enough homes for around $300k and just under if you aren't too fussy, they're not falling down, they're fine and no-one gives a monkeys what you live in. It's not for everyone living in the bush, I haven't locked my doors for 30 years lol

you’d be hard put to find a home under 300k in tasmania now. There are some but not enough to go around for those that might want them. And not in areas where there is work.
