that’s a thoughtful and reflective post. It’s easy to make assumptions on a whole generation based on one’s own experience. My generation had it much easier than my parents who grew up in a severe depression and through a war and while they were both comparatively insulated from it it left its mark.

my children live in a different world both socially and economically. We cannot expect the world to stand still and for them to live as we did, just as our parents could not expect us to live as they did.

And mine had tte good sense to realise that.
