I own DCN and GMD and believe in Finlayson so I understand this POV.
However DCN if you read the investor and corporate presentation announcements prior to the GMD take over announcements you’ll find that director’s sentiment has taken a complete turn. Businesses change but you can’t completely change your message in such a short period of time (DCN investor presentation announcement approx 3 weeks before DCN directors unanimously recommend takeover) of course this is going to disgruntle SH. As a DCN buyer I was sucked into these announcements and the value so clearly outlined including a mill replacement value of 175M. I like GMD and the group and haven’t sold a share but it’s a terrible offer for DCN share holders which doesn’t even cover value of the assets
