PYC will by now have identified a number of small active peptides in their library to offer the next big guy willing to fund such trials

I suspect it won't come to that, but it would make me feel more comfortable if I knew PYC planned a competitive position in readiness for negotiations and/or to fall back onto if necessary.

There aren't many days left in October, so we are probably going to find out one way, or the other, next week I assume.

Well there are - Mediimune / Astrazeneca
had the $100m deal a few years that they passed back & Cubist had a look around later whom were really the company all over antibiotics & superbugs but since acquired by Merck ? (I think ?)
