There was a discussion on ABC radio last night, 11pm QLD time, between Tony Delroy and Leigh Dayton (I think the spelling is correct) from the Australian (I think she is the health editor for Australian). They banged on for about 15-20 minutes about how there is a ton of concern around the latest strains of bird flu and that the meeting in Geneva was going to discuss, among other things, some measures to try to help prevent an outbreak. I was certain that BTA might at least get an honerable mention about them developing something to help, but not even a whisper. In fact the report was more one of doom and gloom that if a pandemic breaks out it could spell disaster to the world population.
I intend to try to contact Ms Dayton and see if she is aware of BTA, maybe next week she might be able to mention that a little Aussie Co is breaking new ground in the fight to avoid a pandemic? Mop.
