I think that the lack of criticism of Israel in Australian mainstream media and the fact that our politicians avoid criticism of Israel's actions in Gaza will come to bite them in a big way. Why? Because the aftermath of this war will be horrendous and will last many years. Plus, we are already seeing proofs that the Israeli side was falsyfing accounts of events on 7 October and throughout the war. And with time, there will be more new information emerging showing Israel in a very bad light. All this is already happening in Isreali TV and press.
In other words, to remain as Israel's ally when Israel is a state guilty of genocide, will become a liability to be avoided. Our mainstream media and most of our politicians will be forced to do some explaining as to why they were silent while everybody else was seeing what was really happening.
