the americans of course would like to be in a position to blockade china ..

the bri is obviously designed to diversify trade routes .. so a port in myanmar with transport access to china makes perfect sense (and totally bypassing the south china sea)

Yes watso just illogical rubbish. At least 90% of seaborne trade through the South China Sea would be going to and from China, so China would have the maximum interest in freedom of navigation.
The US/Aust navies are there for other reasons obviously.
