Except for the propaganda which came out of the Khrushchev era, out of the Soviet Union itself. The Western propaganda is itself based on Khrushchev era propaganda and Gorbachev era propaganda. There is no independent "Western Press" propaganda.
I remember reading somewhere in Grover Furr's notes (based on a Russian author's research, not Furr's) that Khrushchev himself was directly implicated in Yagoda's and in Yezhov's conspiracies and terror in the Ukraine. So it's gross hypocrisy for Khrushchev to point the finger at Stalin, who was not involved in it. Stalin was responsible for bringing about the trials which brought an end to it.
