LONDON, Feb 24 AFP - World oil prices rose today, remaining
above $US51 a barrel in New York as traders geared up for the
weekly snapshot of US crude inventories data, dealers said.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in
April, gained 48 cents to $US51.65 a barrel in electronic deals.
In London, the price of Brent North Sea crude oil for delivery
in April, rose 44 cents to $US48.95 a barrel.
The United States' Department of Energy (DoE) was to publish its
stocks data one day later than usual, following a US public holiday
today.
