I think nobody would object to the idea of planting more trees.
But there might be some resistance from our Italian community. Where I grew up, the idea of progress was to concretise the neighbourhood.
Ask anyone, and you'd hear something along the lines of "We choppa down all deesa treesa and my wifa brother he help me putta in all dissa chementa. You like? Is BEAUTIFUL dissa chementa!!"
How do you change this mindset - entice them with a free olive tree perhaps? Where are they going to plant it?
