misty, frequently comments are made about the poor state of the health and public hospital system. This has me somewhat puzzled. In the last couple of years we have become very familiar of the health system and the inside of hospitals both in rural/regional Victoria, and in Melbourne. I cannot find even one small criticism to make. The availability and quality of both resources and staff cannot be faulted. Doctors are available when required, beds are available when required, and there are always sufficient nursing staff to ensure the patients needs are always met.
Obviously someone else is finding the situation different, either their needs are greater than ours, which I doubt, or they never have had need to use the system and are relying on hearsay. Perhaps someone can put me straight as it seems they are talking about a system that is in another world to the one we know.
