From what I've gathered most of the detrital (about 90%) is hematite detrital - the rest is pisolite detrital.

apparently hematite detrital can have its impurities such as Al2O3 and SiO2 easily and cheaply removed by simple screening down to impurity levels equivalent to or lower than the CID !

that's what I've been told but i need a geo and mining engineer familiar with iron ore to verify - is there anyone here qualified to comment?

the pisolite detrital apparently has problems reducing the Al2O3 as it binds to the pisolite and cant be removed/reduced to the same extent.

But the good news is hematite detrital is dominant.

A suitably qualified geo or mining engineer would be useful
    right now !
