Have heard a few stories of scams perpetrated by prospectors trying to sell their claims
1. Percussion drill samples having a few drops of soluble gold solution added to them before they were sent for assay.
2. Some uranium samples "found" near an old Herberton Tin Mine (Queensland) which looked suspiciously like they had come from the Olary area in South Australia.
