Don't blame it on the sunshine
Don't blame it on the moonlight
Don't blame it on the good times
Blame it on the geos....

Ain't that the truth. How many mining engineers and metallurgists have taken a perfectly good ore body, trashed it because they can't get their shiny backsides off their office chairs and away from their cups of tea, and then blamed the geologists. And how many CEOs, mine managers, operations managers, CFOs greatly exaggerated tonnes, grade, recoveries, crusher throughput, and cashflow just to blame geos for the shortfall.

Amazing how the first person to find the thing gets the blame when it all goes wrong 4 or 5 years down the track. It certainly all rolls downhill in the mining industry.

Message to any young geologists out there - keep a perfect diary of all communications with everyone and anyone.
