    yes I have read all that information before and thanks for you reply to my question, but my question is not answered.
    If O2 and N2 are heated by conduction aren't they absorbing infrared light?
    What is carrying the heat in hot air? All atmospheric gases or just the greenhouse gases. If it is just the greenhouse gases how does less than 1% in the atmosphere increase temperatures by 20C in summer on days with hot northerly winds.
