Upon learning that a priest had been raping children, said priest was then moved to another parish, rather than reported to the police for investigation.
This was well established church policy, which isn't written by those well down the chain of command.
Thus, said priest found himslef in fresh pastures where he could begin grooming new targets all over again. And which the evidence and stories show that's exactly what happened.
Why have so few RC priests been charged with raping children? Because the church has allowed them to slide under the radar to somewhere else while all the time protecting itself.
Indeed, units of the RC church appear to be little more than organized pedophile rings.
Australia is better off without George Pell, who has been a dogged and faithful defender of the church, which in many respects is little more than a corrupt temple of depravity and self delusion.
