Suppose it depends on how big an earthquake is needed to damage the bores. Might not need much 2-3 scale maybe.
But then again it may be easy to redrill. Not sure.

In terms of events I was thinking more on two trains of thought:
    1. Volcanic events that either alter the strength of sunlight over long period of time over large areas (as happened during the 1700s during one of Icelands major fissure eruptions) or cause changes in cloud cover e.g instead of 1 overcast day every 7 it increases to 2 or 3 for a period of time
    2. Climate change which alters wind patterns/direction and strength (and hence also wave patterns) stuffing up long location plans.

Geothermal just seems so much more straight forward for any form of baseload power and there is also no mucking around with molten salts or Nitrogen-Hydrogen/Ammonia systems.
