Electric motors, fanned air coolers, etc, don't work so well under water. A lot of that kind of plant can be stilted up above expected flood levels on flat terrain. Other things tend to be reasonably robust against the elements. Most unacceptable damage would be to the workers amenity shed nearby I suspect; no sandwich maker, etc. GDY have a flood causeway to their worksite at Habanero but in Feb the water level was several metres above that. Even a surrounding levee could not protect against such exceptional circumstances.
