I think we can just assume that the Australian geological challenges will be unique from the sub100C shallower wells GRK has dealt with. Kilometres of +200C granite can bring any operation to it's knees.

The location will be the institutional selling point once various financing and development risks have been reduced, including mobilising an appropriate rig, raising funds to operate it and see initial well production through, establishing an adequate HFR resevoir (GDY recently established the largest HFR resevoir in the world) and demonstrating circulation. Until then, there's no way to put that kind of risk on their books. After these milestones, GRK may just be onto a massive winner.
