This isn't directly related to PAX, but it's geothermal news, so there could well be a "flow on" effect. According to today's news there's been a huge hot rocks discovery in Queensland. Apparently the exploration was government-funded; and Bligh is quoted as saying the size rivals the Cooper Basin with the potential to supply a quarter of Queensland's power requirements. Bligh seems to be a "get things done" sort of person, so this is a very good piece of news for drawing geothermal energy to the attention of the public and maybe even the Federal government.
