Lo Pirate, Ground Loop Heat Exchangers have only limited heating capacity, suitable for low level space heating such as greenhouses etc.
They have limited comparison with geothermal tech. which uses hot granitic rock over 1km deep. I think there's great potential for it in electricity generation.
