Hi Raysea. I like your vision of central Australia as a renewable energy source. It makes a lot of sense from a land-use perspective but it may take a while.
In the meantime what is PTR to do? I've had my coffee and another think.. Why don't they invest in overseas projects where they can participate in viable projects and work with capable like-minded partners and progressive governments? That way they'd keep and expand their knowledge, profit from actual commissioned projects, and be prepared for when the tide changes in Australia. Tenerife is good but mainland Spain is not (at the moment). Certain other countries are much better. Surely local investors would be up for this.
This will need some management enthusiasm but unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any sign of that.
